Tiong Bahru Market Foodcourt in Singapore

I have eaten once before at this place, brought here by a business associate. It is a very popular place and it is located in the city centre. We went there on a Saturday morning which I suppose it is one of the most busiest time. Getting a car park was a hassle although they have parking around the place as well as at the rooftop.

The people that come here are mostly locals. There are also a number of kopitiam and food shops surrounding the place. The group floor is where the market is while the foodcourt is on the first floor

One thing, we had to learn is Singaporean are very patient to queue for their food. Some stalls had long lines and by logic, it should mean that the first must be really good. This is how we judge street food in Malaysia. Many people can't go wrong, right?

Well, my sons queued for about 30 minutes to order some wanton noodles and I must say it was one of the worse that I have eaten. How did this come by? Sheer bad luck or different taste buds?

My family were not impressed by the cooking skills of the food that we bought with the exception of the one I queued in (picture below). His fish ball noodles were quite good.

The lam mee was not so good to out it politely.

Not too great wanton noodles but still finished because we were very hungry.

View of the food court from the roof top car park.
Another view.
Ground floor shops.

The main entrance.
We left the place unsatisfied and did not want to waste time to queue up again in case it turned out to be another dissapointment.

Until the next time, cheers.
