Universal Studios and Resort World Singapore

In continuation of our walk around of Resort World Sentosa, we went to the main esplanade that serves also as the main entrance to the Universal Studios.

There was also a huge statue of The Thinker.

The 3 little pigs.

Nice fountain.

Huge Christmas tree.

Beautiful butterfly fairy.

The crowds around the place was not very large and quite a few were just walking around like us. Most had to take the essential photo with the Universal Studios Globe. With the Christmas carols in the air, it was quite nice actually.

Now, the shopping here was a little more interesting. There was a Hersey's shop, popcorn shop and a huge candy shop. Wow!!!

We bought some popcorn but not allowed to take photos.

The candy shop was huge and all types of candies could be found. Most people ended up buying at least some candies. I suppose it was like going back to childhood days.

Resort World Sentosa

When we went to Singapore recently, my sons wanted to go to Universal Studios. However, my wife and I were quite lazy. So, we left them there and explored the Resort World area which we have not visited since they opened.

Driving into Sentosa and have to pay toll!

First, we went to the Festive Hotel. The decor is very bright and cheery in the spirit of its name.

The main entrance into the casino. However, we did not venture there.

Next was the Michael hotel which I think was named after Michaelangelo (not sure though). This is more upmarket and the shopping inside the hotel was also the branded items.

Thirdly, we went to the Hard Rock Hotel. It has the same hallmark as the other Hard Rock Hotels.

It was just a quick walk around to see what was in store at the hotels.
