Serangoon Garden Foodcourt in Singapore

For the last night in Singapore, I wanted to again try their street food and after doing some more research on the internet, I decided to try the Serangoon Garden foodcourt rather than the touristy Newton Circus foodcourt.

It was not too far from the hotel and the drive was actually quite smooth. I had been in this area before but did not know it was Serangoon Garden area.

This foodcourt is also next to a market and caters more to the local. It is not too large and since they operate from morning, I think some operate the first half of the day and the others in the second half as not all stalls were open.

It was not too crowded, maybe because we got here just after 8 pm. There were also not too many choices but all the major local favorites were there.

So, we ordered what we wanted to try. Well, most Malaysians will say that the Singaporean street food is never as good as in Malaysia and the reason being it is too sterile in Singapore and being more healthy conscious, many ingredients have been replaced with a healthier alternative. I tend to agree. However, the food here is not too bad in comparison.

Dried noodles with pork liver.

Fried oyster. Not too bad but sauce not great.

Pork porridge

Fruit rojak, they can't get the sauce right!
The Singapore hokkien mee is not too bad.
Too bland for our taste
Until the next time, cheers.
