Promenade - a new suburban mall on Rama 2 Road, Bangkok

The proliferation of new suburban malls on the outskirts of Bangkok seem to be growing even stronger. These new malls are not the simple low end types but rather designs are very stylish and up market.

The mall has a Foodland supermarket and one of my favorite food place, Took Lae Dee. As usual there are the usual fast food joints, Starbucks, a number of eateries and also small shops to cater as a neighborhood mall.

This mall will serve the Samut Sakorn area and is on the main thorough fare going south of Thailand so it does see high traffic volume especially at the week ends.

We went there for breakfast one day on our way to Hua Hin. The Foodland and Took Lae Dee Restaurant opens 24 hours, how convenient...

On the way to Hua Hin, one will pass salt lakes and stalls selling salts. In addition, they also process dried and salted fish. The popular one being a fish from the farms. In Malaysia, this is a type of Ikan Sepat.

The fishes are neatly arranged as above. Below are the dried shrimp paste.

On the way back from Hua Hin, we stopped again at the mall to have our late lunch this time.

I must give credit that the toilets are very clean and fully air con too. They even have some nice designs.

Until the next time, cheers.
