Whilst on the way to pick up my wife from KLIA in early April 2013, we decided to have lunch in Cyberjaya and drove to Shaftbury Square. My son quickly eyed a new Japanese restaurant and we settled for that.
The restaurant is nicely decorated and is probably on the upper end of the market. The menu seems quite extensive but what caught our attention is the very service. It was good, very unexpected. We hope the food will be as good.
The menu was also very well designed and made you want to eat everything there.

Salad with wafu dressing |
We started with the salad which was a type of vegetable not common. I forgot to ask what was it. However, it was rather chewy and stringy. The above is a small portion and was RM 12.

Cold soba |

Tempura moriawase that comes with the soba set |
The cold soba set came with some tempura. The tempura were OK but I felt that the sauce for the cold soba was not strong enough. The set with a little pickles and fruit was RM 25.

Shoyu ramen noodles |
|
The shoyu ramen set was RM 20 and came with 2 gyoza. The ramen was not bad but I didn't like the gyoza.
We also ordered the crispy roll sushi which was a daily special at RM16. It was not bad. We also had their signature item, Kinabalu Roll which had cheese and sauce on top of a a simple roll. The sauce and cheese is very nice. We all felt this was the best dish. This roll cost RM30, not cheap though.

We ordered another daily special which was the grilled Amberjack fish head. This was RM 60. We were rather disappointed as the fish head was not fresh and had a very strong fishy taste and smell. The salmon fish head would have been much nicer and cheaper too.

There were still many things that we had not tried but I think to charge this price, they need to get the taste a to be better. The service and ambiance, no problem.
The total bill for myself, my teenager son and young daughter came to RM 207. We will probably come again soon to give this place another shot and see.
Until the next time, cheers.
