I used to patronise this place when they first started quite a few years ago but later found that the food and service is not up to par to the the prices which they are charging. In May, somehow, we thought of visiting Starhill as we wanted to hear some jazz music and somehow ended up at this restaurant.
One thing is the place is large. It seems that they have a lot of things to eat but then, a lot of the food is not Japanese perse and they are also a lot of fusion food. This style is probably popular in Taiwan where they originate from but somehow is not my cup of tea.
I did not really take a lot of photos of the food and the place.
This is suppose to be a fusion chawan mushi but seriously taste awful |
The sashimi quality was not that great |
Unagi does not taste good |
This was one of the items which I enjoyed |
One other thing that I was not happy is that unless you are a member or something, most of the premium items you cannot order. So, there goes most of the good stuff.
I was quite surprised that the sashimi, oysters, etc quality was bad and not fresh at all. Also, one would say that more than 50% of the food is not Japanese cooking.
So, as it was Mother's Day weekend and we had to pay about RM 100 per head, I do not think it was value for money at all. Anyhow, this is only my conclusion.
