Nancy Kitchen on Jonkers Walk Melaka

Well, it's funny that we have been buying our Nyonya delicacies from this shop for many years and yet, I have yet to enter the shop. The problem is the parking and it's always a mad dash and out for either my wife or mom who goes in to buy the stuff. I enjoy enjoy the goodies and wait in the car.

We were in Melaka again recently (being my parents home town) in May 2013 and as the traffic was surprisingly light near Jonkers Wak for a late saturday morning, I could park the car and walk in myself.

We have not eaten in the shop before and maybe the next time, we will sit and try the other cooked food.

This time round, we bought almost all types of kueh that you could find. Being there just after the shop opened, I think not all the kuehs have arrived from the suppliers as there were still many kuehs that were not available.

The popiah here are extra large and flavourful but one should eat it on the spot or else it would be too soggy.

However, we brought back the kuehs to the hotel for our teatime. Yummy.

We also bought "hay bee hiam", gula melaka and other things that are used for cooking apart from the kuehs.
