Equatorial Hotel in Melaka

For the past few years, we have been staying at the Holiday Inn whenever we are in Melaka as it is one of the newer hotels. This time however, we decided to stay at the Equatorial Hotel. I was a little sceptical at the beginning as the hotel has been around some time and knowing the standard of maintenance in Malaysia is generally bad, I was worried. Reading reviews from the internet helped as they were generally positive.

Another view of the lobby area.
Delicacies available at the coffee corner.
We were given the reburbished rooms and it was well maintained and very comfortable. The only problem was the hotel was full and we could not check in even after 3 pm as they were still cleaning up rooms. The rooms had a day bed and a nice window. We could see the sea and most of the surrounding area.

Wisma Palawan shopping mall on the right.
A view of the reclaimed Melaka Raya area.

Road towards Melaka Hilir.
From the lift area, we could see the inland area and noticed the developments taking place in the city. A far cry from the sleepy town when I was young.

Until the next time, cheers.
