Hua Seng Hong Restaurant, a chain of Thai Chinese restaurants in Bamgkok

This is an old Thai Chinese restaurant that have developed into a chain with quite a few branches in Bangkok, mostly in shopping malls.

There is a branch in Bangna where we live and we sometimes eat there. On a lazy Sunday afternoon, we had our lunch there.

We ordered their fish maw soup which in addition to their shark fin soup are popular here.

We also ordered fried bitter gourd leaves and shoots. This is not common in Malaysia.

We also ordered a pork stew rice and pork lakna, a flat noodle in gravy.

The food here is just ok for me and others say the cook at their main restaurant on Sukhumvit Road is much better.

Anyhow, it's one's taste.

Until the next time, cheers.

Choconana at Chatujak Market Bangkok

This is a favorite of my family when we are at the Chatujak market in Bangkok.

The sign says that the products are patented worldwide. I am unsure whether it's true or just to scare people off.

The banana is frozen before your choice of toppings are added. Alternatively there are also ice cream of various flavor including durian.

A yummy treat on a hot hot day.

Until the next time, cheers.

Sin Tapas in Madrid, Spain (En Ca' Kiko

After a whole morning of walking at the weekend market in Madrid, we stopped for a quick lunch at this tapas bar. We were lucky as a few minutes after we arrived, the whole place was packed and even the outside.

We just ordered 3 dishes but they were huge amount. The baguette with salmon and cheese was really good. The deep fired pork was sinful and the snails was reallty nice. We finished the salmon and snails and just ate a little of the pork. So, we doggy bagged it to enjoy more later. It was a good decision.

A view of the window displaying the various tapas and pastries.

I could not get the contact details of this restaurant and even for us, it was just a lucky stumble.

Until the next time, cheers.
